Glamorate It: 2009 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted — Blogger was having internal errors with image uploads for an eternity!

As for the gowns at the Globes, I was surprised at how subdued the colors were, but delighted at how many gorgeous ones there were. Even though I didn't post every single one, this might take a year to load, so apologies. As usual, clickify to biggify :)

Kate Winslet (in Yves Saint Laurent)

Angelina Jolie (in Versace)

January Jones (in Versace)

Amy Adams (in Oscar de la Renta)

Drew Barrymore (in John Galliano for Dior)

Anne Hathaway (in Armani Privé)

Kate Beckinsale (in J. Mendel)

Cameron Diaz (in Chanel Haute Couture)

Sandra Bullock (in Christian Dior)

Laura Linney (in Elie Saab Haute Couture)

Debra Messing (in Vera Wang)

Kyra Sedgwick (in Oscar de la Renta)

America Ferrera (in Oscar de la Renta)

Christina Applegate (in Roberto Cavalli)

Hayden Panettiere (in Gianfranco Ferré)

Isla Fisher (in Carlos Miele)

Eva Mendez (in Christian Dior)

Jennifer Lopez (in Marchesa)

Miley Cyrus (in Marchesa)

Freida Pinto (in Christian Lacroix)

Salma Hayek (in Bottega Veneta)

Blake Lively (in Nina Ricci)

Heidi Klum (in vintage Galanos)

Beyoncé Knowles (in Elie Saab)

Renee Zellweger (in Carolina Herrera)

Maggie Gyllenhaal (in Lanvin)

My "Winner":
January Jones — Flawless, simply flawless.

My "Also-Rans":
Kate Winslet — Pure elegance.
Cameron Diaz — Fabulous rose gown, hair a bit casual though.
Drew Barrymore — Great Jean Harlow gown, not crazy about the hair.

My "Losers":
Renee Zellweger — Was this a Victorian "Tarts & Vicars" party?
Maggie Gyllenhaal — "Psychotic schoolmarm" is not a Globes look.
Heidi Klum — A ridiculous look for her age and for the Globes.

My "Pet Peeves":
Amy Adams' hair — like she just got out of bed: faux pas.
Salma Hayeks cleavage — the girls are going to run away any second!
J-lo — always one step away from vulgar.

I hadn't noticed January Jones's dress before. Very pretty. I happened to love Maggie's :-)

That was the only one that would be interesting enough for me to want to wear.

Really? I thought it was cruel and unusual punishment for the eyes! :D

i love blake, but I feel like that dress was tight in the wrong places on her.
my favorite is drew's dress...
and i too like maggie's, though i do i think there's too much going on/fabric at the top for how busy the pattern is

Drew's dress was great, if she had got her hair just a bit better she was great. I loved Kate Winslet but i thought her look was very severe, she has looked better on the Red carpet before, several times. Frieda, i wish she had chosen a better drape in the same color though, the color is great on her. Angelina was boring and dull. January Jones, nice makeup, dont like the color and frabic of the dress so much. loved Amy Adams including her jewellery, Anne is a favorite of mine but she looks too tight in someway to me, a different hair and jewellery would have nailed it. Loved Kate Beckinsale she was perfect, Cameron's dress was good, bad hair and bad makeup. loved the jewellery and hair of Sandra Bullock, Loved the whole look of Laura Linney. hated Beyonce, she always looks the same. My favorite - Eva Mendez, Lovely Dress, with all the napkin draping at the waist, lovely makeup and lovely jewellery, she looked radiant.
