Romeo & Juliet by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue

If you didn't buy the December Vogue, hurry before it's off the shelves. This month's issue has the most beautiful pictorial I think I've ever seen. "Love of a Lifetime" is a 12 page spread of gorgeous gowns, all in Italian Renaissance settings. It stars Coco Rocha as Juliet and ballet dancer Roberto Bolle of American Ballet Theatre as Romeo (a role he will also play in the coming season with ABT). Other celebrities, in the "supporting roles" in this spread, are Estelle Parsons as the Nurse and John Lithgow as Friar Laurence. Kudos to the whole artistic team!

These are going right inside my Riverside Shakespeare :)

The editorial is indeed beautiful and dreamy.Leibowitz captured perfectly the aura of the Renaissance with a twist of campyness.
