Today's Top Twelve from Net-a-Porter

To quote Shakespeare, "How like a winter hath my absence been!"
Being a no-show for a month is overwhelming upon return, because there are 1,567 things I want to write about and only so many hours in a day. So just for fun and relaxation, I thought I'd browse some pretties at NAP. I was delighted to see that they finally adopted a "try it on at home" policy, which means you can return it for free if it doesn't fit. My current faves are:

$1,400 Zac Posen Eclipse cotton dress

A classic "wiggle dress" à la Marilyn Monroe, but with streamlined tailoring to make it current and tasteful. One of those LBD's which are so versatile they can go everywhere, from office to a night out depending on accessories.

$1,560 Chloé Heloise East West Bag

This bag is large enough to fit the kitchen sink, but delicate enough not to look like it. It manages to be at once a classic "lady purse" but with sleek modern details which make it very "Now".

$710 Alexander McQueen Square toe pumps

How hot are these! The nude cap toe and the hot pink sole on this black patent beauty slay me. Come to mama!

$1,900 Chloé Saskia small tote

This yummy plum is the perfect bag to go with jeans and other caz wear. My friend Cait had to fairly drag me away from it last week. It's a nice medium size, the leather is soft as butter, and it has a great structured but relaxed attitude. The lucite handle sealed the deal and the color is bewitching! Not as pungent, but richer IRL.

$1,100 Zac Posen Manor sweetheart dress

In the picture, and from a distance, the dress looks greyish-beigeish, but actually it's a lovely skinny stripe. Another wiggle dress with va-voom and casual elegance. I'm really pleased with Zac this year — I'd pretty much wear anything he designs.

$705 Fendi Zay metallic platforms

I have lusted after these architectural sandals ever since I saw them on the runway. That caged heel is killer, and the crackled metallic lizard is fab!

$2,200 Zac Posen Oversized bow dress

This linen and silk blend dress is part Audrey, part Jackie Kennedy, and all-out wonderful. The dress has a demure sheen and the construction is superb!

$1,445 Miu Miu Washed leather tote

This tender rose tote is roomy and relaxed, and perfect for day wear with this spring's pastel colors. The strong design keeps the bag from being overly sweet however. Think the cuteness of Doris Day mixed with the strength of Julia Roberts. This bag is genius!

$215 Rick Owens Lilies Cap sleeve top

This is the perfect top for skirts, particularly pencil skirts. It is elegant and sexy; exactly the type of shirt everyone should have in their wardrobe.

$1,420 Bottega Veneta High-waisted pencil skirt

You know by now, I'm sure, how passionate I am about pencil skirts in general. This silk/cotton blend skirt in ivory is as good as it gets. The high waist will make legs look like they start in one's armpits... who could ask for anything more!

$2,195 Michael Kors Satin jersey column gown

Wouldn't you feel like a rose goddess in this gown?! This dress is an absolute homerun in design and execution. Nearly all sizes of this dress are already sold out, and it's not hard to see why.
