Hayden Panettiere for Candies

As if 5.6 billion Dooney and Bourke ads weren't overexposing Hayden faster than sunlight does film in a darkroom, now she's popping up all over the place in these supremely tacky ads pushing plastic shoes for Kohl's. Gawwww, enough! Hayden, fire your manager! Go study Buddhism in Nepal or something, just keep out of magazines for 6 months. You're too cute and too talented to have us tire of you just yet.

Overexposure meter: CRITICAL

Oh my. This ad is a mess. It doesn't flatter her at all.

I know, and it's such a shame because I like her, too, but enough is enough!

Oh, and I forgot to say in the post: I think her makeup in this ad is just way too "tarty"

I think Candie's ads are always tacky and 'tarty'..

They've never enticed me into buying something..

It seems that every young starlet has to splash her face all over Candies' ads. I owned a pair of Candies in Jr. High. And that was the last pair I ever wore.

Maybe it's that we overexpose ourselves! Two ad campaigns and one TV show are hardly overexposure. Plus, it IS her job - a giant part of being an actor is marketing.

Anyway, this ad is kitschy in a bad way. But Candies, much as I love them, usually are pretty overloaded on color and trashiness.
