Under-Glam: DIMRS Dim the Headlights

Those of us who have "aggressive nipples" (you know what I'm talking about), have for years been relegated to wearing padded bras. Those lovely, flimsy lace brassieres have been a distant dream.

Well, no more, there is hope. The lovely Glam Gal Linda, whom many of you may know as "Linda the Bra Lady" from episodes of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, sent me a pair of DIMRS ("Dimmers") to try and here's the verdict: THEY ARE DIVINE!

They are little flat silicone pads. You drop a few beads of water from the tap on them and paste them over your nipples — your own body heat makes the silicone stick on. It's that simple: BOOM, nippleage gone! And because they just peel off and silicone is non-porous, you can reuse indefinitely. Moreover, they are hypo-allergenic, so no worries. They come in nude and cocoa, to match most any skin tone.

They are $29 for a pair — not bad for something that lasts virtually forever. You can get them online at Linda's Bra Salon, or stop by the Lexington Avenue store. Linda can also fit you for a bra and you can browse the many gorgeous bras in stock. To set a fitting appointment, or to ask Linda a question, click here.

Linda has graciously promised a discount for all our Glam Girls:

Through the website:
$5.00 off until 12/21/07
Coupon Code "glamguide"
(Just type it in the coupon field)

In Store (new customers):
10% off Coupon (.PDF)

Your bra fitting correctly is important, so if you're in doubt, if you've recently lost or gained weight, had a baby, and so on, make sure yours fits.

I'm so sad that no one ever sends me anything! No one reads my blog. I'd be happy to get toilet paper!

OK, I need those DMRS! Quickly!!

Yeah, you need to get these.
EVERYONE needs these. Okay, maybe not everyone, but I don't know how I lived until now without them.

I like Nippies Natural ( way better...the color blends better into my skin, and the small box they come in is great to carry around for last minute changes. Plus, Nippies Natural comes in adhesive and non-adhesive versions which stick better, IMO. Just my thoughts... ;)
