The Yves Saint Laurent Palette Ésprit Couture compacts (no. 1 & no. 2) are too beautiful to use in my opinion, but certainly not too beautiful to have! You can wear them as eyeshadow and blush or just gaze at them for hours. The design was inspired by this silk evening gown from the YSL Fall 1983 collection:

And of course you've all seen the trailer for the upcoming Katherine Heigl - James Marsden movie, 27 Dresses, with his summation of all such dresses: "Butt Bow." So even if you can't wear one, you can carry yours in your handbag.
