Christmas: Chic, Caz-Chic, or Full-Out Caz?

I wanted to give you a heads-up that postings will be few and far between until New Year's. I have family over until then, so needless to say I'll be playing Martha Stewart (except younger, better-looking, and with better hair and clothes).

Anyway, to the point. I was just having a conversation with a girlfriend of mine about dressing for Christmas dinner and I started wondering how other people dress. My family has always dressed up — Glam Boy's family does Xmas in sweat pants. What about yours? And what do you think, should Christmas be caz or chic?

Sweetpea! Happy Christmas! And I say dress UP. Why miss an opportunity to look ravishing? We will be just four this year ( the bliss) and I will still be in something pretty, even if I will be lying on the sofa for much of it. And thank you for my lovely e-card too - I LOVE it! LLG xxxx

My In-Laws wear jeans - this has always bothered me. And they actually get dressed on Christmas morning to open presents. I bought my husband pajama pants to wear on Christmas morning - and I MADE him wear dress slacks for dinner! It was the tradition in my family growing up - and it will be the tradition for my son!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you get to enjoy some good post-holiday sales!

LLG - we're just four too, which will be nice and quiet. I hope you heal up right quick and enjoy your Xmas :)

LLG and Lydia - That's how I've always felt. You can wear jeans to dinner every other day of the year, shouldn't holidays be treated as a day when you go out of your way to look nice. Pyjamas in the morning, whatever while you're running around the kitchen cooking, something nicer than everyday in the evening.

I love to dress up! Everyone has started to dress up because of me.

My parents, sister, and I always open our presents Christmas morning in our jammies (cute, festive ones, though!). Then in the afternoon, we go to our cousin's house to have a big family dinner with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. It's definitely caz-chic: dress shirts and slacks for the men; nice skirts or short dresses for the women. As well as bathing suits for the pool and hot tub (gotta love Christmas in southern California!).
